Street Medicine
For individuals who can’t get to medical care, the mobile medical outreach team can come to you
Reasons to Call Auntie
- You (or your friend / cousin) want to know if you’re pregnant or not
- You’re low key freaking out about a health thing
- Your body is doing something new and / or strange and a friend suggested you go get checked out
- You’ve had to move and your regular clinic is too far away, especially with kids
- You’re concerned a friend or family member’s substance use and would like advice
- You can’t recall the last time you were tested and are with a new partner
- You have questions about your health but had a bad experience last time you tried to seek care
- You’ve seen really awful stories online about IUD insertions and pap tests and are worried
- You would feel safer around other Indigenous people while receiving care
- Your last hospital stay was really racist – you know you need follow up but are dreading going back
- You are pregnant and after some life changing experiences with your first, you want something different this time around
- You work at an agency that has some limited knowledge about Indigenous peoples and / or pregnancy and are looking for referrals for a client
